"BEWARE....the 'Atta Boy'..."

The FCC is selling off air-space like it was 1977 and 23 channels were going out the door, and, they're getting big bux for that invisible spectrum above our heads which as you know, I have issues about (re: selling air).
-
Wireless companies are lining up (and probably lining someone's pockets) in record numbers, and the price keeps shooting upwards at an absurd rate. I'm sure FCC Chairman Kevin Martin is happy with the results, just as well as I'm sure he's also looking over his shoulder, trying to avoid the Kiss-of-death "Atta boy Kevvie" from the big man in the white house. No one wants an "Atta boy" anymore....
-
It all sounds good: "More airspace means greater connectivity"; "Wireless users will reap the benefits of the sales", but why don't they really just come out an admit that they are selling off air-space faster than a Carpetbagger-selling-land in the 1800's could say "SOLD!!" because they're greedy?? And while they're doing their confessional, why not have 'em admit that promoting BPL is like beating a dead horse and bury that one for good? (ed. - "The flies....the flies....sweet lord, please bury that dead horse").
-
But I suppose that honesty like this is not in step with keeping your job, so the wheel goes round-and-round as usual, and I guess I'll wander outside at lunch and gaze up at the sky, just to watch those dollars signs whiz over my poor, frazzled, radio operating head....
